Synopsis

Set in Vermont during the Revolutionary War, Lost Nation tells of the intersecting stories of enigmatic founding father Ethan Allen and his various travails and shifting loyalties during the war, and of freed slave Lucy Terry Prince, whose poem, “Bars Fight” is the first known work of African American literature, and her struggles to protect her family and homestead from racist persecution and attacks.

I play Crean Brush, Irish-born lawyer, loyal to the British, who clashed, fatally, with Ethan Allen over who had the right to settle on land in the area which later became the state of Vermont.
